Berlin was initially documented in the 13th Century, and from 1701 to 1945 it was the capital of the Kingdom of Prussia, the German Empire, the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich. In 1930′s, the rise to power of the Nazi Germans had the planet in turmoil. The campaign from the non-German spirit began and the planet watched as anti-semitism devoured most of Europe. And only after many years after the fall of Hitler, Berlin was divided by two political factions by what was called the Berlin Wall. Families were separated and people were killed for attempting to pass the border.

The Brandenburg Gate is probably the most famous and must-see devote Berlin. The project was commissioned by Friedrich Wilhelm II to represent peace and was made by German architect Gotthard Langhans. Since its completion in 1791, the Brandenburg Gate has not experienced any significant change to its structure and appearance. And after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the gate has served while the symbol of the reunification of the east and the west. Visiting the remnants of the Berlin Wall is another must-do in Berlin.
